# How to Add a Payment Method to Your Player Account

You can save a credit card or bank account (ACH) to your Pickleball.com player account so you don't have to re-enter payment details every time you [register for a tournament](https://pickleball.com/docs/en/72000624331-how-to-setup-a-tournament), league, or club. [Saved payment methods](https://pickleball.com/docs/en/article/how-club-billing-works-on-pickleballcom) appear automatically at [checkout](https://pickleball.com/docs/en/72000633369-checkout-options) when you register for paid events across all Pickleball.com products.

## How to add a payment method

1. Log in to [pickleball.com](https://www.pickleball.com) and click your name in the upper right corner.
2. Select **Payments** from the dropdown menu.
3. On the **Payment Methods** tab, click **Add New Payment Method**.
4. Enter your credit card or bank ACH information.
5. Click **Create** to save the payment method.

Your saved payment method will now appear as an option when you register for any paid event on Pickleball.com — including Pickleball Tournaments (PT), Pickleball Leagues (PL), [Pickleball Clubs](https://pickleball.com/docs/en/article/the-club-menu-in-pc) (PC), and Pickleball Team Leagues (PTL).

## What payment types are accepted?

Pickleball.com accepts two types of saved payment methods:

- **Credit or debit card** — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover are supported
- **Bank account (ACH)** — US bank accounts only. If you're outside the US, use a credit card or ask your bank to issue a debit card for your account.

> **Note:** ACH bank transfers are currently available only for US bank accounts. International players should use a credit or debit card.

## How to manage your saved payment methods

To view, edit, or remove a saved payment method:

1. Click your name in the upper right corner and select **Payments**.
2. On the **Payment Methods** tab, you'll see all your saved methods.
3. Click on a payment method to edit its details, or use the remove/delete option to remove it from your account.

Removing a payment method doesn't affect any past transactions — it only removes it from being available for future registrations.

## When are saved payment methods used?

Your saved payment methods appear at checkout whenever you register for a paid event on Pickleball.com. Instead of entering your card or bank details each time, you select from your saved methods and confirm payment. This works across all products:

- Tournament registration fees
- League registration fees
- Club membership dues
- Team league registration fees

## Troubleshooting

### My payment method was declined

If your saved card or bank account is declined during registration, check that the card hasn't expired, the account has sufficient funds, and the billing address matches what your bank has on file. If everything looks correct on your end, try a different payment method or contact your bank to confirm the transaction isn't being blocked.

### I don't see the Payments option in the dropdown

Make sure you're logged in and clicking your name in the upper right corner. The **Payments** option appears in the dropdown alongside **My Profile**, **My Dashboard**, and other account options. If you still don't see it, try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache.
