Your Pickleball.com profile is your public identity in the pickleball community. From the Edit Profile section, you can update your contact information, physical attributes, playing details, profile photo, and public visibility settings. Most profile changes take effect immediately.
The Edit Profile section contains several areas you can customize. Each is covered below.
Your profile photo helps other players and tournament directors recognize you. To add or update your photo:
Photos go through a brief approval process before they appear on your profile. To be approved, your photo must meet these requirements:
Photos that don't meet these requirements will be declined. If your photo is declined, upload a new one that follows the guidelines above. For a detailed walkthrough of the approval process, see Profile Image Approval Guide.
In the Edit Profile section, you can update your:
Keep your phone number current and make sure texting is enabled. Many tournaments use text messages for court assignments, schedule updates, and score notifications. If texting is off, you may miss time-sensitive information on tournament day.
Your physical attributes and playing details help the platform match you to appropriate events and give other players context about your game. Fields you can update include:
Your self-rating indicates your skill level and affects which tournament brackets and league divisions you can register for. To set or update it, scroll to the Self rating field in your Edit Profile section and select your level from the dropdown.
If you also have a DUPR rating connected to your profile, the platform uses the higher of your self-rating and DUPR rating to determine event eligibility. For example, if your DUPR rating is 3.6 but your self-rating is set to 4.0, the system uses 4.0 — meaning you can't register for brackets below 4.0 unless you lower your self-rating.
NoteYou can change your self-rating anytime. If you're new to pickleball and unsure of your level, start with a lower rating and adjust upward as your game develops.
Your Edit Profile section also includes optional fields for:
Both are optional but recommended, especially the emergency contact if you play in tournaments regularly.
Your profile has both public and private elements. Other players can see your name, photo, ratings, and play history by default. To control what's visible:
