# Legacy Tournament Fee Plan in PT

The legacy tournament fee plan on Pickleball Tournaments (PT) applies to any tournament that was already open for player registration before August 3, 2026. Under this plan, the service fee is **$5 per event**, capped at **$10 per player per tournament**. If your tournament opened for registration on or after August 3, 2026, see [Tournament Pricing and Fees in PT](/docs/en/72000615191-tournament-pricing) for the current fee structure.

> **Note:** If your tournament was open for registration before August 3, 2026, it follows the legacy fee plan. Tournaments that opened on or after that date use the current fee plan ($5 + 7.99% of the total registration checkout).

## Legacy service fees per player

Under the legacy fee plan, service fees are charged per event a player registers for and are capped at $10 per player per tournament.

- **Standard events:** $5 USD per event, capped at $10 USD per player per tournament
- **Pro events:** $25 USD per event (no maximum). Applies when a tournament offers a professional bracket with $10,000 or more in prize money. Pro fees are separate from the $10 standard cap.

## Frequently Asked Questions

### How do I know which fee plan my tournament is on?

If your tournament was open for player registration before August 3, 2026, it is on the legacy fee plan. If it opened on or after that date, it uses the current Amateur Player Service Fee ($5 + 7.99% of total registration checkout). Check your tournament dashboard's billing section if you're unsure.

### Can I switch a legacy tournament to the new fee plan?

No. Legacy tournaments remain on the legacy fee plan for their entire registration period. The new fee plan applies automatically to any tournament that opens for registration on August 3, 2026 or later.

### Does the $10 cap apply to Pro events?

No. The $10 cap only applies to standard event fees under the legacy plan. Pro event fees ($25 per event) are separate and have no cap.
