How to Cancel USAP Autorenewal and Renew Early
If your USAP membership is set to expire before an upcoming sanctioned tournament and you need to renew early, you may need to cancel your automatic renewal first. USAP's autorenewal processes on your membership's original renewal date, which may be too late for tournament registration. Cancelling autorenewal lets you renew immediately so your membership is active in time. All membership changes happen on the USAP website, not on Pickleball.com.
When do you need to cancel autorenewal?
This situation typically comes up when:
- You want to register for a USAP sanctioned tournament on Pickleball.com
- Your current USAP membership expires before the tournament dates
- You have autorenewal turned on, but it won't process until your current membership actually expires — which is after the tournament's registration deadline
In this case, you need to cancel autorenewal so you can manually renew your membership right now, before the tournament registration deadline.
How to cancel autorenewal and renew early
- Go to usapickleball.org and log in to your account.
- Navigate to Individual Membership (use the search bar if needed).
- Find your membership in the list. Scroll to the right and click the three dots (…) menu next to your membership.
- Select Cancel Autorenewal.
- Go back to your membership and click on it again. You should now see a Renew option.
- Click Renew and follow the checkout prompts to complete payment.
Your membership is now renewed and active. The updated expiration date should sync to Pickleball.com within a few hours, allowing you to register for your sanctioned tournament.
If you don't have autorenewal turned on
If your membership is not set to autorenewal, you can renew directly without needing to cancel anything first. Log in to usapickleball.org, go to your Individual Membership, and click Renew. Follow the checkout prompts to complete payment.
NoteAfter renewing on the USAP website, your updated membership status syncs to Pickleball.com automatically within a few hours. If it hasn't updated after 24 hours, contact us at support@pickleball.com.
