Prove you play pickleball without saying you play pickleball
DALLAS, TX – Oh, how I love the Pickleball Facebook Forum.
It’s an endless source of entertainment. And while there are countless players airing their grievances, there’s also a lot of hilarious and wonderful content.
The latest to spark some digital conversation:
“Show me you play pickleball without any words,” wrote Kathy Stephens Frazier, showcasing her closet full of court shoes.
Finding the right pair of shoes can be an endless battle.

John Winters posted his lineup of medals hanging in his home. Honestly, I can’t blame Winters for showing off his gold. You should always celebrate your victories with pride.
This was a fun one. Lainie Reyes shared how she brought pickleball into the literal kitchen by baking these adorable pickleball cookies. I need to get baking!
Angel Dorsett posted a rainbow of pickleball dresses in her closet. I get it girl, there’s no uniform I like better than a cute little workout dress. Closet goals.
Marica Jacobs claimed the prize for the largest quantity of shoes in her closet. The thing that caught my eye, though, was all those visors and hats. Sun protection for the win. And they must be coordinated with the rest of the outfit, so you’ve got to have one in every color.
Shellie Anderson posted a basket of pickleballs, which made me smile. It's so simple and perfect. I’m envious of those bountiful containers. I need to order a pack of 40 to work on my serve.
And here’s the one I was waiting for. The stack of paddles. Howard Schoenberger posted an image of a dozen of them. Are you really a pickleball player if you don’t have several different paddles, from several different brands, with various shapes, sizes, and feels?
Owning a few extra paddles is great to have extra gear on hand when you want to play with friends. But when you’re trying to figure out which paddle is best for you, it’s probably going to result in buying a ton of different ones.
They say pickleball is a relatively inexpensive sport, but sometimes you have to splurge for the proper gear. That’s how I’d prove I play pickleball – just look at my bank statement.
Now excuse me while I add another pickleball dress to my wardrobe.
