Which pickleball pro is a “Friends” aficionado?

DALLAS, TX – This is the one where Rachel Rohrabacher shares her love for the iconic TV show, Friends

“I’ve watched it probably nine times,” she said. “I can almost recite everything they’re saying.”

Friends is Rohrabacher's go-to comfort show, and the series is also rather popular among several other pickleballers, including Alex Walker and Lauren Stratman

Stratman shared that she loves actress Jennifer Aniston's portrayal of Rachel Green.

“I think I relate to Rachel’s character the most,” she confirmed.

Walker's favorite character, meanwhile, is Joey Tribbiani.

The cast features such a diverse group of personalities, so it’s hard to pick a favorite.

As for Rohrabacher's choice...

“As I’ve aged, I’ve become so much more like Monica Geller. It’s kind of scary. Watching Monica is like watching myself. It’s jarring, but somehow comforting,” she explained.

The brightest spots in the show include the timeless and wonderfully memorable quotes and storylines. Were Rachel and Ross on a break? Or were they broken up? That debate will never be settled.

"Technically, they were on a break. Ross still messed up because they were on a break for seven hours," said Rohrabacher.

“’And 'Pivot’ is by far my favorite quote,” she added, doing her best impression of Ross moving the couch up the stairs with his friend, Chandler Bing.

“But, Season 5 Ross Geller is on another level. Anything he says in that season is just amazing. Like that scene when he’s on a sabbatical from his job and his boss eats his sandwich and he yells, ‘You ate my sandwich?'” continued Rohrabacher. “It’s also in that season where he finds out about Chandler and Monica. All these things happen to Ross and it’s just amazing.”

Despite Rohrabacher’s annual tradition of rewatching the epic series, she often skips the final season.

“I don’t like endings, and that one just makes me so emotional. When Rachel gets off the plane, I’m done for,” she said.

So when Rohrabacher is dominating alongside her doubles partners Anna Bright and Federico Staksrud, you can bet she’s channeling her inner unagi.
