CARY, NC – The upsets continued at the Fanatics Sportsbook North Carolina Open on Friday.
This time, 14th-seeded Augustus Ge and Jaume Martinez Vich defeated ninth-seeded Callan Dawson and Hayden Patriquin 7-11, 11-5, 14-12.

The scoreline is a clear indicator that this was a hard-fought battle.
“This guy’s just an absolute stud,” said Ge, regarding Martinez Vich. “He was just on one today and it was so fun to play with him.”
On Thursday, the pair defeated second-seeded James Ignatowich and Matt Wright.
A match against Federico Staksrud and Pablo Tellez awaits in the semis.
“My plan is the same going into the semis, just keep having fun. It’s so great to be where I am,” shared Martinez Vich.
