Best dressed at the Select Medical Orange County Cup
DALLAS, TX – Pickleball fashion aficionados, I’m beginning to think that men’s pickleball fashion has improved significantly because the Select Medical Orange County Cup was overflowing with some pretty sweet outfits from the guys.
As per usual, the ladies looked fierce, but this list has the most men we’ve seen yet.
Here are the best dressed players from Life Time Rancho San Clemente:

Tellez is a new face on the list, and this is a fun look. Sporting an all-blue ensemble, the standout piece is the tie-dye patterned shirt. It’s subtle and clean. Better yet, he kept it simple with the rest of his look and opted for color-coordinating blue shorts, socks, and wristbands. A monochromatic look for the win.

Okay, but how cute is this skirt? As soon as I saw it, I was obsessed. It’s a classic white tennis skirt with a black waist band, black stripe on the bottom, and a white hem. It’s so much more exciting than just a simple solid colored tennis skirt. And it’s clear that Rohrabacher pays attention to the details – expertly pairing it with a black tank top, black hat, and black shoes. Just excellent.

Rettenmaier has a strong signature look. It’s pretty much guaranteed that he's going to arrive at a tournament in a bold, flamboyant, and patterned collared shirt, and his latest looks are just so playful and fun. And he always pairs these cool patterns with black or white shorts, shoes, and socks, proving he’s styling them well, too.

Munro has made the list before, and I think he’s one to watch in men’s pickleball fashion. He dresses sharply and incorporates a fun element into his look. He wore an all-black look in California, but had a pop of red from the logo on his shorts and off-set stripe on his shirt. This is a textbook example of how to look effortlessly cool.

All the way from Australia, the No. 49 seed battled his way through the singles bracket and found himself playing on Humana Championship Court. There are two things I really like about this look - the ocean blue colored shorts and pop of blue on his shoes that works wonderfully together, all paired with black and white accessories.

Alshon is a new face to the list, and in another all-blue ensemble. Blue is certainly his color. I like the navy blue shirt paired with the light blue shorts that conveniently match his court shoes. Topped off with a white hat, I can offically welcome Alshon to the best dressed club.

Kovalova takes pride in her pickleball fashion and it shows. She rocked this fuchsia tank top and tennis skirt combo in California, and she just looks great in this bright color. It’s so flattering on her, and it makes a strong statement on the court. Fabulous, as always.

Another blue ensemble from one of the male pickleball pros. This time, it’s from Dow, who began with a simple navy shirt. But the real standout of his outfit is the navy and sky blue shorts with a triangle geometric pattern that show a bit of playfulness. Nice look, Greg!
Honorable Mentions

Buckner usually opts for shorts and a tank top ensemble, but for this tournament she debuted a cute little white tennis skirt, and I must admit that I loved the feminine flair.

Loong is an honorable mention for being one of the very few men who wear a bro tank top, but he pulls it off nicely. Pairing it with sleek black shorts, a black hat, and a chain, he looks right on trend with men’s athleisure fashion.
Unfortunately, July is going to be a quiet month since the next PPA tournament won’t be until August 7 with the Selkirk Kansas City Open, so let's get excited about what kind of fabulous looks will debut during the second half of the 2024 season.
