Pickleball courts were the top amenity added by private campgrounds across the U.S. in 2024.

The finding comes courtesy of the 2025 Camping Report Presented by Toyota Trucks.

The report is compiled annually by The Dyrt - the only camping app with all of the public and private campgrounds, RV parks, and free camping locations in the country, along with millions of user-generated campground reviews.

Surveys were conducted among three groups, including members of The Dyrt camper community, a representative sample of U.S. residents, and camping property managers across all 50 states.

Results indicated that 17% of private campgrounds that added amenities last year chose to install pickleball courts, almost doubling the second-most-added amenity, Wi-Fi, at 9.8%.

Properties were reportedly 29% more likely to add pickleball courts in 2024 than any other amenity, including swimming pools and hot tubs, dog parks, kayaks/canoes, and bicycles.
