MLP announces schedule updates, including Daytona Beach event
For the first time since 2023, Major League Pickleball is returning to Daytona Beach, FL.
That’s one of multiple schedule updates announced by the league Friday afternoon.
Here are all of the changes:
- The MLP event taking place June 5-8 (originally scheduled for Salt Lake City, Utah) will now be played in Daytona Beach, FL at Pictona. There will not be an amateur event in Daytona.
- The MLP event taking place July 31-August 3 (originally scheduled for St. Petersburg, FL) will now be played in Salt Lake City. There will be an amateur event in Salt Lake City.
- The MLP Phoenix match grid was updated to have more matches on Toray Championship Court and to end earlier on Sunday.
The location updates for Daytona Beach and Salt Lake City are a result of the St. Petersburg venue not being built in time to host an event later this summer.
The season will continue with MLP Austin, set to run May 23-26 at Austin Pickle Ranch.
