Tyson McGuffin withdraws from Mesa Arizona Cup due to illness
MESA, AZ - Tyson McGuffin withdrew from the PPA Tour's Carvana Mesa Arizona Cup on Friday due to illness.
McGuffin and partner Meghan Dizon lost their spot in the mixed doubles quarterfinals, while Anna Bright and James Ignatowich automatically advanced to the semis.
It's a disappointing result for pickleball fans eveywhere, of course, who always enjoy watching McGuffin's trademark intensity in the heat of battle.
We wish Tyson a speedy recovery!
