A haunted house… but it’s Callie Smith's pickleball haunts

Pro pickleball’s Rapunzel, Callie Smith, got into the Halloween spirit when she shared a spooky meme via Instagram that's guaranteed to make you smile... or give you a scare.

Instead of posting her family’s costumes and trick-or-treating fun, she opted for some spooky pickleball humor that we all can (unfortunately) relate to.

Under the prompt “A Haunted House,” Smith shared some pickleball-related horror stories that may or may not haunt her.

A post shared by Callie Jo Smith (@calliejosmith_pickleball)

“A haunted house, but my significant other wants to play in a league with me.”

That’s some pickleball players’ nightmares.

“A haunted house, but I just lost to the oldest couple in my neighborhood.”

Those retired folks get me every time.

“A haunted house, but I just lost on a net cord.”

This haunts Collin Johns at every tournament.

“A haunted house, but I keep getting the yips on my serves.”

“A haunted house, but I just whiffed an overhead.”

Sometimes, you just get publicly humbled.

“A haunted house, but I just dumped an easy dink into the net.”

Smith’s commenters added their own.

“A haunted house, but you keep getting coached by a man with a lower DUPR than you,” said Rachel Wolman.

“A haunted house, but the other team keeps calling balls out,” added Codie Taylor.

“A haunted house, but my partner keeps popping the ball up and I get crushed,” said Danielle Miller.

How about – a haunted house, but it's pickleball courts converted back to tennis courts. Now that’s horrifying.

Or, a haunted house, but it’s only wooden paddles.

A haunted house, but my partner is being a ball hog.

Throw all these into one spooky pickleball house filled with cracked pickleballs and broken paddles, and we have ourselves a proper haunt.

But, there must have been a haunted house at my pickleball court last night because I saw a lot of these pickleball spooks.
