Collin Johns made his professional pickleball debut at the 2019 US Open, where he made the semifinals in Men’s Pro Singles. Over the course of the following year, he quickly climbed to the top-10 in the ranks of both singles and doubles. Collin has been competing on the PPA Tour as one of its top professionals since its inception in 2020. Throughout his ongoing professional career, he has captured 35 PPA men’s doubles titles and concluded the 2022–2024 seasons as half of the world’s #1 doubles team with younger brother, Ben Johns. Their partnership concluded at the 2025 PPA Masters with a total of 43 medals, an astounding 74% podium percentage, and a 56% title percentage.
Johns attributes his success to his background in professional tennis, high-level table tennis, youth baseball, and the tutelage he received from younger brother, Ben. Collin’s favorite shots are his reset blocks and forehand dink, which he adapted from his previous experiences in other racquet sports. Johns appreciates what he calls “the uniquely unsolved nature of the technique and strategy in pickleball, that is constantly evolving.”
His journey in racquet sports began on the ATP Tour, where he competed for multiple years, reaching a career-high ranking of #978. After transitioning from professional tennis, he coached junior high-performance and collegiate tennis at Florida Gulf Coast University. He later expanded his teaching career in the country club setting, working at The Club at Mediterra and serving as the Head Racquets Professional at Baltimore Country Club—where he coached tennis, pickleball, and platform tennis.
Collin transitioned to competing full-time as a pickleball professional in 2022 when he moved to Austin, Texas to continue his training out of the Austin Pickle Ranch.
Over the years, he has remained active as a coach, leading dozens of clinics both nationally and internationally and currently coache
