Agassi, Graf talk pickleball with People Magazine: 'We really want to grow the game'

Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf recently talked pickleball with PEOPLE.

Avid supporters of America's fastest-growing sport, Agassi and Graf reportedly hit the pickleball court at least three times per week at home in Las Vegas.

"We like that pickleball is a community driven sport," Agassi told PEOPLE reporter Linda Marx. "People who play pickleball improve their game quickly. While all types of sports lovers are playing, the age keeps getting younger."

Speaking of younger folks, Agassi, 54, and Graf, 55, have spent the week touring Vietnam and China with Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Brooke Buckner, Tyson McGuffin, Collin Johns and Zoey Wang in conjunction with the JOOLA Pickleball Legends Tour.

Like her better half, Graf is absolutely addicted to pickleball.

"Andre still plays tennis, but I don’t much anymore," she confirmed. "We really liked learning a new sport during the pandemic and meeting new friends through pickleball."

In short, pickleball has helped to keep their marriage strong.

The pair adheres to one specific rule, however, with respect to mixed doubles play.

"We don’t play each other," said Graf. "We prefer to be on the same side of the court."

Agassi and Graf are certainly among the best pickleball ambassadors on the planet.

And promoting the sport has become a top priority for both of them.

"We really want to grow the game," said Agassi. "When we are not traveling, we practice pickleball a great deal. Since we both play, it’s fun to do together."
