Ben Stiller producing, acting in pickleball comedy 'The Dink' with Jake Johnson in leading role
Thank you, Ben Stiller.
It was announced on Wednesday that the renowned actor, comedian and filmmaker will produce and act in a pickleball comedy called The Dink.
According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Jake Johnson "has nabbed the leading role as he plays a washed-up tennis pro who, to save a club in crisis and win his father’s respect, does the one thing he swore he’d never do: play pickleball."
Sounds interesting, right?
Mary Steenburgen and Ed Harris are also cast members, while Stiller and Tennis Hall of Famer Andy Roddick have supporting roles.
The Dink will be directed by Josh Greenbaum based on an original screenplay from Sean Clements.
Production starts in Los Angeles in November.
Stiller is famous for such movies as Zoolander, Tropic Thunder, Along Came Polly, There's Something About Mary, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and the Meet the Parents films.
Get your popcorn ready, people. The Dink should be something special.
