Brooke Revuelta is youngest pro athlete to join AFE Goodwill Pro Pickleball Military Tour

Nineteen-year-old rising star Brooke Revuelta was the youngest professional athlete to date to participate in Armed Forces Entertainment’s (AFE) Goodwill Pro Pickleball Military Tour.

Last month, Revuelta joined fellow American pickleball players Danny Jensen, Walter Lau and Helen To for a three-week journey to 12 U.S. military bases in seven countries, including Turkey, Kosovo, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain.

The tour was designed to spread the joy of pickleball to service members and their families, and boost morale in the process.

According to an Apr. 15 story in Miami Community News, Revuelta, Lau and To were coaching and hosting clincs for the troops and their loved ones, and even provided instruction for residents of the base communities.

Exhibition matches were also staged, along with play-with-the-pros sessions.

"Being selected for this tour is an absolute honor — not just as a pro pickleball player, but as someone who comes from a military family. My family has always instilled in me a deep respect for those who serve, and now I am showing my appreciation firsthand. This tour is about more than playing a sport — it’s about lifting spirits, saying thank you, and creating unforgettable moments for our troops and their families," said Revuelta. "Pickleball is all about connection, competition, and fun — just like the camaraderie within the military. I’m stepping onto the courts, learning from our soldiers, and sharing what I love about this sport with them."

Revuelta has a deep personal connection to the military, so the trip was especially meaningful.

Her great-grandfather was a B-24 airplane commander in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Her grandfather served in the U.S. Army’s 7th Finance in Vietnam, and her stepfather was a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army’s 3rd Infantry Division out of Fort Stewart, GA, and 154th Engineer Battalion while stationed in Germany.
