DiNKR: The first pickleball app for romantic partnerships

I've been preaching about playing pickleball instead of using dating apps to find that special someone in your life.

Fortunately, DiNKR is combining both pickleball and dating in the best way possible.

DiNKR is the sport's leading player-first pickleball match finding app that recently added a new optional profile tag, “Open to Dating,” allowing users to indicate they’re open to a partnership both on and off the court.

What’s really cool about this feature, too, is that it’s subtle. The “Open to Dating” tag can only be seen by other players with the tag themselves. That means that on everyone else’s profile without the tag, they will just appear as another player looking to play.

DiNKR also has age and identity verification for safety purposes.

In 2023, pickleball was Tinder’s most referenced activity in people’s profiles, and it was the most popular first date suggestion for users. Pickleball’s popularity on dating apps only continues to increase for those seeking love connections.

The pickleball court is a great first date spot because it’s in a public setting, friends can come along, and you can learn a lot about your potential partners during a match. Are they a ball hog or do they share your competitive edge?

Connections happen on the court so easily that sometimes it feels like there’s a new love story written every time I pick up a paddle. It’s impressive how successful a pickleball courtship can be. Just look at Grayson Goldin and Hannah Blatt. They met on the court and then they went pro together.

Now that’s a love story for romance books.

DiNKR’s new tag reflects how much the dating landscape is changing. People aren’t solely relying on dating apps to find potential connections. Instead, they’re helping eliminate the bulk of prospects who aren’t partnership material. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that if my romantic partner doesn’t like pickleball, I don’t like him. So, excuse me while I download my new favorite pickleball matchmaking app.
