Federico Staksrud announced his engagement via Instagram on Saturday.

Staksrud, 29, proposed to his girlfriend, Selena Sherifi, during a trip to Aspen, in Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.

Staksrud's fellow players were quick to congratulate the couple on this special moment in their lives with comments aplenty on his social media post.

"Prince in action," wrote Tyson McGuffin.

"Winning on and off the court," wrote Christian Alshon.

"Ahhhh now I know why he went to Aspen! Congrats bro!!!" added Roscoe Bellamy.

"Bravo amigo. I always remember our Daytona conversation…. To me it was clear at that point. Felicidades champ," added Travis Rettenmaier.

Staksrud's proposal comes just ahead of his trip to China to participate in PPA Tour Asia's final event of the season, the Hangzhou Open.

The tournament runs from December 3-6 at Linping Sports Center.

Staksrud is the top seed in the men's singles bracket. He will also play men's doubles with Armaan Bhatia and mixed doubles with Alix Truong.

Some other notable names traveling to China include Connor Garnett, Blaine Hovenier, Tama Shimabukuro, and Zoey Wang.
