Anna Leigh Waters and Ben Johns often top the list, but Lakers superstar Luka Dončić deserves a spot, too—especially after footage of his recent performance during a team-wide tournament was released on Wednesday.

To say Dončić takes pickleball seriously would be an understatement, but he clearly knows how to have fun on the court with his teammates as well.

Players and members of the coaching staff went head-to-head at California Smash in El Segundo, CA on Friday, Nov. 21 during a break in the regular-season schedule.

Dončić and assistant coach Ty Abbott ultimately lost to Jake LaRavia and assistant coach Beau Levesque in the final, falling short of the ending he had hoped for.

Though Dončić didn’t take home the championship belt, his fanbase likely added plenty of pickleball enthusiasts after seeing his skills in this YouTube video.

The Lakers’ chemistry is simply next-level.

And Dončić has been a key contributor to that.
