TV host Kyle Brandt shows pickleball some love on CBS' NFL Today broadcast
If you're a pickleball enthusiast and you weren't familiar with Kyle Brandt from NFL Network's Good Morning Football before Wild Card Weekend, you likely are now.
Brandt was featured in a memorable clip on CBS' NFL Today broadcast on Sunday that took the picklesphere by storm by seamlessly blending football and America's fastest-growing sport together to perfection.

Brandt plays the role of a pickleball player using a host of pickleball-related analogies to break down the playoff matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills - which ultimately went in Buffalo's favor with a 31-7 scoreline.
"Pickleball. It’s what people do now. Just ask them. They’ll be insistent that you have to do it, and incredulous that you don’t already. Pickleball is the air fryer of sports. And I think the Denver Broncos are the pickleball of playoff teams - fun, a lot of buzz, not going away, best when the players wear their brightest colors, and it’s multi-generational," said Brandt. "Enjoyed by young people like Bo Nix and Pat Surtain, as well as old people like Sean Payton and Garett Bolles. Plus, pickleball players, they know their limitations, and we know Sean Payton can’t hang with people who think they’re unlimited."
Brandt didn't stop there.
"Plus, you know, Broncos, picklers, both have their share of skeptics. For the Broncos, they say rookie quarterbacks don’t survive in January. And Denver hasn’t beaten a real playoff team in three months," he added. "For pickleball, they say it’s just wiffle pong, the pet rock of pastimes, the Mazda Miata of hobbies, all the hype of CrossFit with half the injuries, none of the exercise, and it leads the league in paramedic emergencies."
Take the time to watch the clip in its entirety because Brandt deserves a standing ovation for this outstanding effort.
Pickle on, Kyle!
