How to Choose Fee Plans for Your Club

To choose or change a fee plan for your Club in Pickleball Clubs (PC), go to Edit Organization → Fee Plans and select from Digital, Basic, Business, Enterprise, or Advertise Only. This guide lists every feature and fee across all five Club plans in a single table, and covers what to expect for other product fee plans (tournaments, leagues, and team leagues).

    Important

Make sure a payment method is on file first, or the plan won't activate.

    Before you begin

    • You must be signed in as an Owner, the primary manager, or a manager with both the Edit Club and Edit Financials permissions. These are the only users who can adjust fee plans.
    • A fee plan is only applied after you've added a payment method to the organization. Selecting a plan without a payment method on file won't activate it.
    • Fee plans bill the full amount on the 1st of each month.
      • Upgrades take effect immediately and are pro-rated for the rest of the current month.
      • Downgrades are self-serve. They take effect on the 1st of the next month and don't receive a pro-rated credit or a refund. You keep access to your current plan until the end of the current month (billing cycle). You can cancel a scheduled downgrade any time before the 1st.
    • Each product has its own fee plan. On the Fee Plans screen, choose Clubs, Tournaments, Leagues, or Team Leagues to see its plans.
    • Add-ons are billed separately. When you enable an add-on (DailyStory, Club Ratings, Sanction Body, texting, or push notifications), it's charged on its own invoice. It isn't part of your plan price.
    • Custom fee plans can only be added or revised by a Pickleball.com Admin. For information about a custom plan, email sales@pickleball.com.

    1. Log into your Club account on Pickleball.com.
    2. Click Manage in the upper right corner.
    3. In the left-hand menu, click Edit (Edit Organization).
    4. Scroll to and click the Fee Plans tab.
    5. Click the product you want to manage: Clubs, Tournaments, Leagues, or Team Leagues. Its plans appear on the page.
    6. Click Upgrade, Downgrade, or Switch under the plan you want, then confirm in the dialog.
    7. To see past charges, click See all invoices.

Processing fees are set at the organization level.

Your organization may be on a custom fee plan with rates negotiated by your Pickleball.com sales associate. If so, your custom rates appear on the Fee Plans screen, with the standard rates listed below them for comparison.

    Note

With your plan selected and a payment method on file, your plans will reflect the tier you chose until you switch plans again.

    Frequently asked questions

Do I need to add a payment method before choosing a fee plan?

Yes. The Fee Plans screen shows the note "Fee plans will be applied only after adding payment methods to this organization." If you select a plan before adding a payment method, the selection won't take effect until the payment method is on file.

What's the difference between the Digital and Basic plans?

Digital is Pickleball.com's free starting tier — it covers baseline Stripe processing only, with no built-in emails, texting, push notifications, or member-management tools. Basic ($39/mth) adds emailing (including to all event participants) and makes your Club eligible for the DailyStory marketing integration.

What is DailyStory and why would I want the integration?

DailyStory is a full-suite digital marketing platform that Pickleball.com uses as its own marketing engine and is also available to all Pickleball.com play providers. Connecting a DailyStory account brings in all of your event and player data, unlocks pre-designed email templates and automations along with other advanced digital marketing tools built-in like text messaging, push notifications, landing pages, attributions, list building, polls, loyalty programs, reporting and more. There are two separate charges to be aware of: Pickleball.com charges a $75/month integration fee on the Basic and Business plans (included at no extra cost on Enterprise), and DailyStory separately bills you for its own marketing platform based on your contact volume, starting at $100/month. Contact support@dailystory.com for more information about DailyStory or support@pickleball.com about plan information.

Can I switch fee plans later?

Yes. From Edit Organization → Fee Plans, click Upgrade to move to a higher plan right away (pro-rated for the rest of the month), or Downgrade to move to a lower plan starting the 1st of next month. Downgrades aren't refunded.

    What are Stripe transaction fees?

Stripe is the payment processor Pickleball.com uses to handle credit and debit card payments. Stripe charges a 2.9% percentage fee plus a $0.30 per-transaction fee on every card payment your Club receives — the same rate on the Digital, Basic, Business, and Enterprise plans. These fees are set by Stripe, not Pickleball.com.

Are the additional texting and push notification fees per message?

No — they're billed in blocks of 1,000. Texting is metered on every plan that includes it (Business and Enterprise) at $25 per 1,000 texts, roughly $0.025 per text, with no included monthly allotment. Push notifications are coming soon. When they launch, Business and Enterprise will include 5,000 per month, then $1 per 1,000. For exact billing, contact support@pickleball.com.

What does Enterprise get that Business doesn't?

Enterprise adds Affiliations and includes the DailyStory integration at no extra monthly fee, versus $75/month on Basic and Business. Sanction Body is available on both Business and Enterprise for an additional $99/month.

If I want to manage members and charge special member pricing for events what plan do I have to choose?

To manage members and have the ability to charge special pricing for members and a different price for non-members, you must be on the Business or Enterprise Plan.

How do I downgrade my plan?

On the Fee Plans screen, click Downgrade under the plan you want and confirm. The downgrade is scheduled for the 1st of next month. You keep your current features until then, and no pro-rated credit or refund is given. To undo it, click Cancel change any time before the 1st.

Can I cancel a plan or downgrade and get a refund?

No. Refunds aren't issued for fee plan downgrades or cancellations. You keep access to your current plan until the next billing cycle, and a scheduled downgrade can be canceled any time before the 1st.

What is a custom fee plan?

Some organizations have rates negotiated with a Pickleball.com sales associate. Custom plans can only be added or changed by Pickleball.com. Your Fee Plans screen shows who set up your plan and when it took effect. For questions, email sales@pickleball.com.

What is Volunteer & Ref Management?

Included free on every Club plan.
