Adidas x Sporty & Rich is the summer capsule wardrobe we all want

Ever since World No. 1 Federico Staksrud signed with Adidas, I’ve started paying a lot more attention to the brand. And while I’m still patiently waiting for the Argentinian star to show up to a tournament in an iconic Adidas track suit, the company remains a trendsetter in the athletic wear industry for good reason.

Adidas Originals recently launched their second collaboration line with Sporty & Rich to create the perfect court fashion capsule wardrobe for the summer.

The aesthetic of this line is classic country club minimalism: clean white ensembles with emerald green piping details, paired with navy polos and retro shorts.

It's the perfect collection to throw in your bag when you’re jetting off on a Pickleball Getaway and want to be the best dressed player there. All of the pieces are interchangeable, making the collection cohesive and easy to mix and match.

A standout for me is the classic navy polo tee. This is so retro and menswear inspired with clean lines, and I love how it embodies quiet luxury. I can definitely see the women at my local racket club looking chic in this navy fit.

They also released two different shoe collabs with Sporty & Rich, Adizero Adios shoes offered in court green or collegiate white, and Blanc shoes in cloud white or court green as well.

Personally, I prefer the Blanc shoes because I like the classic look. With the Adidas stripes and simple color pallet, these are the kind of shoes that are worth the investment because they never go out of style. We won't be looking back in a few years thinking, 'Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I left my house wearing that.'

But the Adizeros Adios have a dated look to them. Maybe it’s a combination of the mesh white overlay and the shiny piping that reminds me of the shoes I had to wear in middle school gym class. Anything that brings me back to that horrifying time in my life is a big 'No!' for me. I get the draw of nostalgia, but some things are meant to be left in the past.

So if I’m adding this collection to my cart, I’m embracing the capsule wardrobe and adding the hat, polo, shorts, and skort to pair with the Blanc shoes. It's effortlessly chic and put together for a classy look on the court, and a sporty fit off the court.
