Best dressed at the Daytona Beach Open presented by ROAR Organic
The Daytona Beach Open marked the final pickleball tournament of the 2024 calendar year. But, being so close to the holidays, there were less of our fabulous fashionista pros in attendance. No need to worry, though, because there were still some fun looks to discuss.
Here are the best dressed pros from the tournament:
Welcome back to the pro court, Leigh, because you (and your fashion) have been missed. Mama Waters wore a sleek little black tennis dress that fits her like a glove and has a little slit in the side from Abercombie’s YPB activewear line. Paired with light blue court shoes and a black hat, Leigh proved that she has style on and off the court.
Leave it to Tyra to close 2024 with an unforgettable look. This Nike mesh dress gives the illusion that she is wearing lace on the court, and I couldn’t be more delighted. How does Tyra continually pull off such incredibly unique fashion? It’s simply amazing.
Jorja looked so cute in white in women’s dubs alongside Tyra, but I also enjoyed her all-black ensemble from mixed dubs. In a little black dress with sheer detailing on the collar and a long sleeve layered piece on top, it’s just fun. Topped off with a bright orange pair of court shoes for a pop of color, Jorja looks amazing.
Zane isn’t necessarily on the list because I think he’s on trend or expertly pairing things together to make him look his best – he’s on the list because he’s making a statement. What that statement is, I have no idea. Clad in LEORÊVER, he battled his way up the bracket to Championship Sunday in two different colored Skechers shoes. Why? I have no idea. But the pink and blue combo makes me think of cotton candy. So congrats, Zane, you’ve piqued my fashion curiosity.
Christa rocked this electric blue look on mixed doubles day in Daytona, and I love how she styled it. Her tennis dress just right. With a slit and zipper front, the dress is beautiful on her, not to mention the gorgeous color. She paired it with a simple white hat, white socks, white court shoes, and a blue band on her right ankle. Even her paddle has a matching blue tone. Well done!
Pablo is really having some fun on the court with his fashion. He’s becoming a player who’s unafraid to wear a bright, bold color, or loud pattern. In mixed, he wore a matching black set that appears simple from afar, but once you take a closer look, you’ll see this bright mint green detailing on the hems and sleeves that give the look a little extra pop. If this is the kind of fashion Pablo is bringing into 2025, I think we’re in for an exciting year.
