Best dressed at the Mojo Energy Pouches Virginia Beach Open
After a stretch of scorching-hot tournaments, the PPA Tour’s Mojo Energy Pouches Virginia Beach Open brought a chilly change of scenery and a fresh look for pro pickleball fashion.
Swapping their usual skirts and tennis dresses for long pants and sleek jackets, the pros embraced cold-weather style. One player even took the court in a beanie.
Here are the best dressed pros from PPA Virginia Beach.
The women’s doubles silver medalists served up several sleek looks throughout the tournament, but Sleeth’s black Align skirt from Lululemon paired with a fitted, light-blue zip-up from Aritzia was my favorite. That soft blue is an especially beautiful color on the pro.
Truong looked effortlessly chic in this all-black look from Kamito Picklebal. With temperatures dropping in Virginia Beach, bundling up never looked so good. The combination of black flare leggings and a long-sleeve top is simple, sleek and undeniably stylish.
One thing about Morelli: she always shows up in style, and Virginia Beach was no exception. The standout piece was this light-blue-and-white gingham top, which brought a playful, charming touch to her look. You can find a similar style from Astoria. Paired with a simple, fitted black skirt, the look struck the perfect balance between fun and polished. Another fashion win for Morelli.
If you’re bundling up for a day of pro pickleball, you might as well look this cute. Dizon kept things classic with black leggings, white crew socks and court shoes, pairing them with a sheer blue long-sleeve top that was perfect for the cooler conditions. The finishing touch? A burnt-orange beanie that coordinated with her Proton paddle. It’s an unexpected color combination that makes this look both unique and adorable.
We’ve got another new face on the best dressed list. Weil wore this look from Lululemon, a navy top with subtle burgundy accents and a matching navy skirt. I also appreciated the styling. Weil topped the look off with white court sneakers and white tube socks with matching burgundy. The small details go a long way, and this look proves that. Well done, Weil.
Jansen’s outfit for the women’s singles final was a standout for me. The mauve jacket and matching skirt made for a coordinated look in a refreshing color rarely seen on the pro pickleball court. She completed the ensemble with a black visor, white-and-red JOOLA court shoes and delicate necklaces. It was a polished, distinctive look for Championship Sunday.
Honorable mention: Parris Todd at PPA Australia
Several top pros traveled halfway around the world to compete at the PPA Tour Australia WALKER Australia Pickleball Cup, and one familiar face on our Best Dressed List arrived with another standout look.
Do Todd’s Alo looks ever miss? Nope. She consistently delivers, and this latest outfit at PPA Australia is a new personal favorite. The drop pleats on the skirt, the fitted high-neck top and matching hair ribbon all come together beautifully in that rich emerald green. It’s elegant, coordinated and absolutely stunning from head to toe.
