Best dressed women during the first half of the PPA Tour season
DALLAS, TX – Now that half of the pickleball season is done, it's time to take a look back at some of the best looks from the ladies so far.
The competition is stiff, so I’m over the moon to see what kind of exciting and innovative looks we'll see soon enough when the PPA Tour action resumes next month in Kansas City.
Here are the best dressed female players during the first half of the 2024 campaign:
Hurricane Tyra Black at the Veolia Desert Ridge Open

I genuinely look forward to Tyra’s outfits at every single tournament, and she never disappoints. She's one of the most innovative and fashion forward pros around. Tyra is always experimenting with mesh fabrics, cutouts, intricate silhouettes, and very fun accessories. Thank you for making these lists so fun to write!
Lucy Kovalova at the Select Medical Orange County Cup

Lucy always looks so lovely, but this fuchsia purple matching tank top and pleated tennis skirt is just a standout for me. It’s an electrifying color. It looks incredible on her and photographs beautifully. She's always a textbook example of how to look bold, yet clean and put together on the court.
Parris Todd at the CIBC Texas Open

I swear I think about this dress at least once a week when I go to play pickleball because I’m just obsessed. The light green is an unusual color for the court since players usually favor bright and bold colors, but I just love the soft green. Parris is a regular on the list, so attempting to pick a favorite look was difficult.
Anna Leigh Waters at the Fanatics Sportsbook North Carolina Cup

Anna Leigh may have made history by winning her 100th career PPA title in this stellar turquoise blue tennis dress, but she also made headlines by simply looking fabulous. That blue is her color. And I love the scalloped and cutout details on the hem of the dress to give it a little bit of a feminine flare. Absolute perfection.
Callie Smith at the Vizzy Atlanta Open

I’m a sucker for a hot pink tennis dress on the court. The color is just outstanding on everyone, and it’s girly and so photogenic. I love the high slit in this look from Callie because it’s not only flattering, it’s also practical for pickleball.
Rachel Rohrabacher and Anna Bright at the Veolia Sacramento Open

This matching sky blue set from Rachel and Anna just gives me warm and fuzzy feelings, especially after watching their awkward 90s photoshoot in these same outfits. Sky blue is a gorgeous color that’s perfect for summer, and it looks great with their braided dark brown hair. Winning outfits here.
Genie Bouchard at the Veolia LA Open

Bouchard is a fashionista off the court as much as she is on the court. I love her seafoam green and navy blue dresses and matching sets that are tennis-inspired and timelessly chic. I can’t wait to see what looks she debuts in the second half of the year. I know they’re going to be good.
