Mixed doubles style guide: Top brands to shop
Mixed doubles is quickly becoming my favorite lane in pickleball style since there’s so much room for creativity when partners coordinate their looks.
One of the simplest ways to nail that coordinated vibe is by shopping the same brand at the same time. When a brand drops a fresh colorway—say, a seafoam blue—you can pull from the women’s collection while your partner grabs the matching shade from the men’s side. Easy, cohesive, and effortlessly sharp.
Here are a few of my go-to brands where both men and women can build standout pickleball fits.
We have to start with the obvious: Lululemon has earned its reputation as an athleticwear powerhouse for a reason. With an extensive selection for both men and women, it’s easy to find the fit, cut, and style that works best for you, while still matching colors and creating a coordinated look with your mixed doubles partner.
She can grab her favorite Align skirt in seafoam, while he can pair it with matching seafoam shorts for a coordinated look on and off the court.
However, if you’re looking for the same sleek, high-quality feel as Lululemon without the premium price tag, CRZ Yoga on Amazon is a fantastic alternative. It offers a wide range of stylish, performance-focused pieces that make it easy to create coordinated pickleball looks without breaking the bank.
The quality of the tank tops, leggings, shorts, and skirts is impressive across the board for both men and women. With endless styles, fits, and color options to choose from, the hardest part might not be finding something you love, it’ll be deciding which pieces make it into your cart.
One quick tip: be intentional when matching colors. If you choose the women’s skirt in true navy, make sure your partner selects the exact true navy shade in the men’s shorts collection. Otherwise, you may end up with two similar colors that don’t quite match.
That small detail aside, I can’t recommend CRZ Yoga enough.
Of course, I have to mention J. Pritchard, a brand named after one of pickleball’s original founders. This chic label offers court-ready styles for both men and women, with pieces that complement each other through a signature palette of green, navy, and white.
From an aesthetic standpoint, J. Pritchard is among the best at delivering that polished, country club–chic look for both men and women. Any mixed doubles team stepping onto the court in their pieces would be a lock for the Best Dressed List.
I’m a recent convert to Tasc, and I’ve been seriously impressed with their gear. They’re a go-to for men—easily one of the most popular brands at my local courts—but their women’s collection is just as strong.
Their fabrics are lightweight, breathable, and often come with built-in sun protection. I’m especially into this skirt for the women, paired with their best-selling shorts for the guys. It’s an easy win for both performance and style.
Wilson
Another powerhouse brand for a reason, Wilson continues to set the standard with elevated, high-performance court apparel. Each new collection feels thoughtfully curated, delivering that effortless country club–chic aesthetic that stands out on any court.
Similar to CRZ Yoga, The Gym People is another standout Amazon brand with an impressive range of styles, cuts, and colors for both men and women. The sleek athletic skirt is a go-to for the women, while the matching T-shirt makes it easy for the guys to complete a clean, coordinated look.
Abercrombie & Fitch’s activewear line, Your Personal Best (YPB), has quickly become one of my favorites in women’s activewear—comfortable, flattering, and super cute. While I haven’t personally tested the men’s side, it’s safe to expect the same level of quality for the guys.
If your mixed partner leans toward a more relaxed, streetwear-inspired vibe, this brand is a perfect fit. The women’s pieces pair perfectly with those laid-back looks, creating a coordinated style that feels both cool and intentional.
