Review: Skechers Viper Court Elite Pickleball Shoes
It’s about time I tried out a pickleball-specific court shoe.
I was one of those people who was convinced that I could just use regular lifestyle or running shoes on the 20x44, but now that I’ve tried court shoes, I'm never looking back.
I recently gave the Skechers Viper Court Elite Pickleball Shoe in light blue a try.
Review:
Let’s start off with the color because this light blue is just so easy on the eyes, and it looks great with so many different options in my pickleball wardrobe. I adore the light blue, but the shoes also come in white or black for a more classic look.
I traditionally wear a half size up in my sneakers for more room, so based on that, they fit just right.
These pickleball court shoes are light, comfortable, and supportive. Most importantly, though, they're breathable. I wore them when it was about 100 degrees outside in Dallas and I didn’t feel bogged down, so they passed the ultimate test.
The real standout feature is the Arch Fit Technology. As someone with pretty high arches, I need that support in a good court shoe, and this shoe really satisfied that. No rolled ankles here. I could play a back-and-forth game of singles where my opponent is making me run side to side and I’d be rocking with these on.
The traction was excellent with the Goodyear rubber sole, and I trust these will have a good longevity. I cannot recommend these shoes enough. They're a must-buy.
Rating:
9 out of 10.
I’m hoping they come out with more colors because these beauties are now my go-to pickleball shoes.
