Life Time adds patent, player partnership to pickleball repertoire
DALLAS, TX – When Life Time declared that they were going “all-in” on pickleball, they weren't kidding.
In their latest effort to help make pickleball the best sport it can be, Life Time filed a patent for The Ultimate Pickleball.
It’s no secret that pickleballs haven't been perfected yet. Between lack of longevity and inconsistent bounce and speed, the technology still needs some work, so Life Time is hoping to change that.
Life Time Founder, CEO and Chairman Bahram Akradi is an avid pickleball player and engineer, so designing a new ball to address the aforementioned concerns was a priority.
“A clear opportunity that emerged was to advance the quality of gameplay and participants’ experiences with a vastly improved pickleball. I always welcome the opportunity to solve challenges and I’m excited to launch our Ultimate Pickleball as a solution to offer the combination of improved weight, speed, hole distribution, and material to support consistent play and durability,” said Akradi.
The Ultimate Pickleball will be unveiled on Aug. 19 with tennis legend and pickleball enthusiast Andre Agassi, who was recently appointed the inaugural chair of the Life Time Pickleball and Tennis Board.
Life Time also just announced an exciting player partnership with fan favorites Mary Brascia and Maggie Brascia.
Pickleball is definitely in good hands with Life Time.
