DALLAS, TX - Pickleball and hockey have shared some exciting moments together over the past year.

We've seen a myriad of hockey icons make their way to the 20x44, with members of the Carolina Hurricanes most recently doing so back in April.

The partnership between the two sports is one that's set to continue, the PPA Tour announced Tuesday.

On Thursday, August 8, the Carvana PPA Tour will celebrate National Pickleball Day with the first-ever “Pickle ‘N Pucks presented by Verizon” Pro-Am at Aspen Meadows Resort in Aspen, Colorado.

This exclusive event will be broadcast on ESPN2 in the U.S. and Sportsnet in Canada from 4-6pm MT.

The Pro-Am will feature teams composed of top pickleball, hockey, and sports stars, including NHL legends and prominent athletes from various sports.

Participating Athletes

Justin Williams: Three-time Stanley Cup Champion and Conn Smythe Trophy winner.

Ben Johns: The PPA Tour World No.1 with over 100 career Gold Medals.

Anna Leigh Waters: The PPA Tour World No.1 female player and holder of the most Triple Crowns.

Collin Johns: PPA Tour World No.3 and with 31 PPA Tour Gold Medals.

Genie Bouchard: Former WTA World No.5 and Wimbledon finalist, now a professional pickleball player.

John Isner: Former ATP World No.8 and Wimbledon semifinalist.

Additional NHL stars will be announced after the conclusion of the NHL season.

The event will feature a luxury three-day experience combining pickleball with the unique offerings of Aspen:

August 6: Social pickleball play and athlete meet-and-greet, followed by the NetJets Welcome Dinner at Catch Steak Aspen.

August 7: A scenic cycling excursion with Lance Armstrong through the Maroon Bells.

August 8: VIP experience at the Pickle ‘N Pucks Pro-Am, including pickleball clinics, lessons, and pro-ams at Cascades Tennis at Aspen Meadows Resort.
