USAP announces venue for 2024 National Championships
DALLAS, TX - The Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships are moving to the southwest for 2024.
USA Pickleball announced Friday that Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, AZ, will play host to the next installment of the competition in November.
This is the third year in a row that the event has moved venues, going from Indian Wells, CA, in 2022 to Farmers Branch, TX, in 2023, and now to the Valley of the Sun to a facility featuring 41 pickleball courts and a 2,000-seat pickleball stadium.
“Our team has been listening intently to the feedback and insights from our players, which is why this year’s Nationals will truly be a reimagined version with the player experience prioritized above all else from beginning to end,” said USA Pickleball CEO Mike Nealy. “We are thrilled to work with the team at Arizona Athletic Grounds and ELITE Sports to host a fantastic and high quality competition experience at a state-of-the-art pickleball venue.
There are also high expectations for the event’s economic impact on Mesa and the surrounding communities.
“With USA Pickleball at the helm, the event promises substantial economic benefits for local business, from hotels to restaurants,” said Nikki Balich, executive director of the Arizona Sports & Entertainment Commission. “This championship is a game-changer for Arizona’s economy.”
The tournament will take place Nov. 10-17, and players can qualify by claiming gold at one of 11 ‘Golden Ticket’ tournaments throughout the year.
