Christian, Klinger help Cadwallader Middle School students learn pickleball skills on newly unveiled courts
Cadwallader Middle School in Las Vegas recently unveiled some brand new pickleball courts with a little help from pros Kaitlyn Christian and CJ Klinger.
Christian and Klinger were in town in conjunction with the PPA Tour’s Rate Championships presented by Skechers at Darling Tennis Center.
Both players were thrilled to stage a clinic for a group of enthusiastic youngsters.
"I had such a fantastic time working with the kids. It was so rewarding to see their energy while we taught them dinking, serving, and the pickleball basics," said Christian. "It’s so special that the PPA connects its athletes with local middle schools, giving us the opportunity to inspire the next generation of players and have a blast while doing it."
"Having just graduated from high school earlier this year, it was especially fun to spend time with the students," added Klinger. "Getting more younger players interested in our game is a priority, and the enthusiasm and fun we had is encouraging for the future."
The courts at Cadwallader were prepared by Sportcourt of Southern Utah and the Southern Nevada and Durango Hills pickleball clubs.
The clinic, meanwhile, was made possible with the support of several notable companies.
Proton Sports donated 40 paddles, Selkirk provided eight nets, Vulcan supplied 100 balls, and FILA provided shirts.
