CityPickle returns to Central Park starting April 21
After months of watching the courts sit idle through winter, pickleball is finally coming back to Central Park.
Beginning Tuesday, April 21, Wollman Rink will be a hub for America's fastest-growing sport again as CityPickle returns for its fourth season—transforming the iconic space into a vibrant, 14-court pickleball destination in the heart of the New York City landmark.
The courts will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through early fall, offering a full lineup of programming, including open play, clinics, and private lessons for players of all skill levels.
The courts can accommodate hundreds of players daily, with reservations released on a rolling basis one week in advance.
The $5 community play sessions are especially popular, and with good reason. Held for several hours each day and including complimentary paddle rentals, it's one of the most budget-friendly ways to spend time in Central Park.
A new summer camp, running from late July through August, is also designed to get kids moving and enjoying the outdoors. It offers small-group coaching along with half- and full-day options for families looking to fill those summer weeks.
Food and drinks will be available on-site as well, and people interested in taking things up a notch can rent courtside cabanas and a VIP lounge.
