Komodo Pickleball adds tennis legend Agassi
DALLAS, TX - Former tennis professionals have begun to enter the pickleball sphere in a multitude of ways, including as players competing on tour and as owners overseeing Major League Pickleball teams.
Now, one tennis legend is getting into the pickleball gear business.
In a press release published on Nov. 20, Komodo Pickleball announced that eight-time Grand Slam champion Andre Agassi is joining the company’s ownership group.
The former World No. 1 hopes to use this opportunity to deepen his understanding of pickleball technology to bring the sport to new heights, something he also did throughout his tennis career.
“A significant part of success in a racket sport is linked to your equipment,” Agassi shared. “I took pride in my knowledge of tennis technology, stringing, and immersing myself in the details of the tennis racket process. I am deriving the same enjoyment with pickleball paddles and through my partnership with Komodo.”
With Agassi’s status and experience in athletics and philanthropy, the company hopes to involve him in everything from product development and global partnership expansion to extend its reach.
“Andre brings an incredible wealth of experience, unmatched talent, and an unwavering dedication to excellence,” said Dave Milo, CEO of Komodo Pickleball. “His involvement will elevate Komodo Pickleball to new levels of success, and we are incredibly excited to embark on this journey together.”
