MLP New York City heading to Central Park in September
DALLAS, TX - Major League Pickleball announced on Monday that the upcoming MLP New York City event will be held at CityPickle at Wollman Rink in Central Park from September 19-22.
It marks the first time that the world’s top players and professional coed pickleball teams will battle in the Big Apple, featuring the likes of superstars Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters.
A collection of 12 of MLP’s 22 teams will play a total of 30 matches over four days as they compete for entry in the season-ending MLP Playoffs this November.
The top six squads at both the Premier and Challenger levels will earn playoff spots.
Participating teams at MLP New York City with local connections are the New York Hustlers, New Jersey 5s, and Brooklyn Aces.
Comprehensive broadcast coverage will be provided by a combination of Tennis Channel, Pickleball TV, and MLP’s official YouTube Channel.
