The opening round of the MLP Playoffs runs Friday, August 7 through Sunday, August 9 at Pickler Universe in the Dallas suburb of Carrollton, TX.

The No. 5-12 seeds - Brooklyn, Dallas, Palm Beach, Texas, Atlanta, SoCal, Las Vegas, and Chicago - are competing in the event.

Each matchup is a best-of-three match series. The top seeds selected their opponent, beginning with the highest seed playing in the current round (opponent had to come from the pool of lowest seeded teams remaining). A match will be over at three games to none; a fourth game will not be played in that instance

All matches are available on Pickleballtv and the Pickleballtv App. 

Matches will also be featured on MSG Network from 11am – 7pm ET on Super Sunday.

• No. 5 Brooklyn Pickleball Team vs. No. 10 SoCal Hard Eights: Will Brooklyn avoid DFW-area Urgent Care centers? If they are fully healthy, they are a massive threat to the top teams and a heavy favorite in Dallas.

• No. 6 Dallas Flash vs. No. 11 Las Vegas Night Owls: Will Dallas continue their rampage in front of their adoring Flash Mob? They are on an 11-match winning streak and won the belt in their last two regular season events.

• No. 7 Palm Beach Royals vs. No. 12 Chicago Slice: Will the Cinderella story continue for Chicago? The youngsters Elsie Hendershot and John Lucian Goins have injected youth, energy, and high-level play.

• No. 8 Texas Ranchers vs. No. 9 Atlanta Bouncers: Which version of these teams will show up in the playoffs? Two talented rosters have had huge swings in their level of play throughout the regular season.
