
MLP Premier playoff seeding set
Even though there are still matches to be played on Sunday at The Picklr MLP Salt Lake City, the Premier level playoff picture is set.
Ten out of the 16 Premier level teams advance to the first round of the Toray MLP Playoffs, which begin in San Diego, CA on August 15.
Here are the final standings:
- 1. St. Louis Shock
- 2. Dallas Flash
- 3. New Jersey 5s
- 4. Brooklyn Pickleball Team
- 5. Columbus Sliders
- 6. Los Angeles Mad Drops
- 7. Texas Ranchers
- 8. Orlando Squeeze
- 9. Utah Black Diamonds
- 10. Miami Pickleball Club
Seeds 7-10 will face off in the play-in round, which will be a single elimination match. The winners will advance to the second round, which will be a two-out-of-three game series.
The Challenger level playoff picture is much less clear.
The Las Vegas Night Owls, Nashville Chefs, and Florida Smash are locked into the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6 seeds, respectively. The D.C. Pickleball Team, California Black Bears, and Bay Area Breakers are all in contention for the No. 3 seed.
