MLP releases list of eligible players for 2025 season
One of the biggest rule changes ahead of the 2025 Major League Pickleball season is that only players with UPA contracts are eligible to compete in MLP.
Additionally, all teams are required to drop at least one player from their 2024 rosters ahead of the free agency drafts taking place on March 2 (Premier) and March 3 (Challenger).
In order to keep a player on their squad, teams must pay MLP half of what it cost to select the player in the 2024 draft, which was run via a dynamic bidding process where teams ‘bid’ for picks. All undrafted players—as well as players taken in the Challenger level draft—have a keeper cost of $0.
There's a lot to keep track of here, so we have a list of every UPA-signed player, as well as their keeper eligibility and cost for this season.
