PPA Challenger Series announces 2027 schedule
The PPA Challenger Series announce its 2027 season schedule on Wednesday, the series' third season.
The 2027 calendar brings the circuit to more of the country than ever before, with seven new tour stops and the return of 11 fan-favorite events. 2026 PPA Challenger Series tournaments averaged 400 players per tournament, representing all 50 U.S. states, plus Washington D.C., the Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico.
With a commitment to fostering growth and development within the pickleball community, the PPA Challenger Series aims to nurture emerging talent, encourage participation, and ultimately elevate the sport at all levels. Spanning the country with 18 tour stops in 2027, the series features amateur and aspiring professional players battling for victory and chasing their dreams.
The 2027 season also marks a significant step forward in the series' competitive and partner footprint. The schedule includes five 250-point tournaments, up from four in 2026, giving players more opportunities to earn valuable World Pickleball Ranking points against top-tier competition. The series is also expanding its relationship with Life Time, which will host eight tournaments at its premier pickleball destinations in 2027, up from two in 2026. In addition, All 2027 PPA Challenger Series events will be played with the LT Pro 48, the official ball of the PPA Tour.
"The 2027 PPA Challenger Series schedule is our most ambitious yet, bringing high-level pickleball to 18 unique markets across the country and giving more players, fans, and communities a front-row seat to America’s fastest-growing sport,” said Tanner Groff, Vice President of PPA Challenger Series. “Our expanded partnership with Life Time is central to our schedule and together we're pairing world-class facilities with a competitive platform that gives rising pros a clear path to the sport's biggest stage. PPA Challenger tournaments are where the next generation proves itself, and where local players see what's possible. As pro pickleball continues to evolve, we're building it from the ground up; stronger pathways, better events, and a sport that grows through the communities that love it."
