Professional Pickleball Association announces PPA Spain
The Professional Pickleball Association (PPA) announced further international expansion on Wednesday with a seven-tournament tour in Spain.
The inaugural PPA Spain season will begin Sept. 23-27 in Barcelona, with the remaining six tournaments spanning the country. PPA Spain will feature two PPA125 point-level tournaments, three PPA250s, and two marquee PPA500s. All points ladder up into one global PPA Tour ranking system, providing a clear pathway to becoming the best in the world.
“Pickleball is growing exponentially internationally, and we want to bring the absolute best of the sport to in-demand markets,” said Chris Patrick, President, International, Carvana PPA Tour. “Spain has shown a great appetite for pickleball and the elite level of pickleball that PPA Spain will showcase will help accelerate the sport’s growth in the region. Through professional and amateur competitions, PPA Spain will increase awareness of the sport by promoting the sportsmanship, fun, and social good that pickleball brings to communities.”

Our ultimate vision is to propel pickleball onto the global stage, reaching metrics and a level of cultural importance comparable to traditional giant sports.”
With the strength of the PPA behind it, PPA Spain will become a launching pad for Spain’s best players to continue their journey to the top ranks of professional pickleball, as they grow the game and promote pickleball to new and eager audiences.
PPA Spain joins Asia, Australia, Canada and Italy as international professional pickleball tours governed and overseen by the Carvana PPA Tour.
