
Ranchers rally over Miami Pickleball Club
Despite falling behind early, the hometown Texas Ranchers (5-2, 16 points) wouldn't be denied another regulation victory on Sunday afternoon at MLP Austin.
The Ranchers earned a hard-fought 3-1 win over Miami Pickleball Club (6-7, 16 points).
"Miami came out really strong. Props to them. They played really well," said Ranchers member, Eric Oncins, referencing Milan Rane and Mya Bui's triumph in women's doubles. "I knew we needed to pick up our energy and play our best to beat that team."
Oncins and Christian Alshon responded with a men's doubles win for Texas over Noe Khlif and Jay Devilliers that helped right the ship for good.
"The crowd was amazing. All the fans stood behind us match after match. That's what I feed off. I feed off the crowd," emphasized Oncins. "That helped me and Christian come back and pull out that win."
