Rane hands Todd singles defeat in Round of 32 upset
SAN CLEMENTE, CA - No. 35 Milan Rane has every reason to feel good about herself following a notable 11-7, 11-5 trimuph over No. 7 Parris Todd on Wednesday at the Select Medical Orange County Cup presented by FitVine Wines.
It was an impressive effort from Rane, who dispatched a favorite in the singles bracket.
Rane downed No. 32 Sarah Hua in the Round of 64 on Tuesday to earn a matchup with Todd and an opportunity to showcase her skill set against a player of her calibre.
The 25-year-old Boca Raton, FL resident, who turned pro in 2022, will play her Round of 16 singles matchup on Thursday.
