'SportsCenter' coming to MLP Mid-Season Tournament in Grand Rapids
SportsCenter is coming to Grand Rapids, MI later this month in conjunction with the Beer City Open and the Edward Jones MLP Mid-Season Tournament presented by DoorDash.
The SportsCenter: 50 States in 50 Days content series - a nationwide tour designed to bring SportsCenter and its anchors directly to fans across America - will be visiting Belknap Park on Thursday, July 10.
According to a June 16 story on MLive.com by writer Brandon Champion, ESPN has several broadcast elements planned for the day.
"A feature will air during a 2 p.m. edition of SportsCenter on Thursday, July 10 with Christine Williamson anchoring on location along with cameras and a production crew. The feature will highlight the power of pickleball, one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S., to unite sports fans across Michigan," writes Champion.
"Additional coverage will appear across ESPN platforms throughout the day, including other SportsCenter editions, the ESPN App, and ESPN social channels," he added.
This marks the first time in 20 years that SportsCenter has undertaken a cross-country tour of this scale.
