UPA Asia Trailblazers Program will elevate pickleball, establish partnerships bridging USA and Asia
PPA and MLP Asia recently launched the inaugural UPA Asia Trailblazers Program, providing aspiring picklers the opportunity to be among the first UPA Asia pros.
The UPA Asia Trailblazers Program serves to increase the competitiveness and recognition of Asian talent, ensure localized content for the region, and boost pickleball as a professional spectator sport. It also creates a high-performance pathway through the integrated PPA and MLP system, establishing partnerships that bridge the USA and Asia.
Shortlisted athletes will spend three months immersed in the USA, with all expenses paid. Players will enjoy top-tier training at world-class facilities, mentorship and clinics from leading coaches and US pros, and participate at PPA Tour and MLP events. Upon successful completion, players will receive a UPA Asia touring contract for 2025-26 and participate in all PPA and MLP Asia events.
The program will be covered through a variety of media channels, including short-form and long-form content on social media platforms and with media partners where fans can follow the players on their journey to the pro ranks.
Interested players from Asia between the ages of 18 and 29 are welcome to apply to the program before Feb. 22.

PPA and MLP Asia was set up with a focus on developing professional talent to become national icons and organizing premier events to provide a global platform. Athletes play an integral role in the development of the sport, serving as role models, building the fanbase, and inspiring the next generation of youth.
