Waters withdraws from singles at Pictona
DALLAS, TX - World No. 1 Anna Leigh Waters withdrew from singles competition at the Hertz Gold Cup on Thursday.
The 16-year-old phenom recently secured the 20th Triple Crown of her career when she defeated Catherine Parenteau on Championship Sunday at Nationals, surpassing Ben Johns for most all-time in that department.
Waters has 14 singles gold medals on the PPA Tour this season.
At this time, she is still slated to compete in mixed and women’s doubles with her regular partners, Johns and Parenteau.
