What to watch for on Sunday at the MLP Cup
The Edward Jones MLP Cup continues Sunday with pool play in the Premier and Challenger brackets, as well as the semifinals and finals, at Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, TX.
This standalone event—which is separate from the 2025 MLP season where the Columbus Sliders and Las Vegas Night Owls claimed the respective Premier and Challenger titles—will begin with pool play before the top-performing teams advance to a single-elimination bracket, with each squad competing for a share of a $50,000 prize pool.
Here is the order of play:

Now, let’s get into what to watch for.
- Even with a few pool play matches yet to be completed, the pool winners at the Premier levels have already been determined. The Dallas Flash, New Jersey 5s, and Brooklyn Pickleball Team all went undefeated in their respective pools, and the St. Louis Shock (3-0) will close out group stage action against the Orlando Squeeze (1-2) on Sunday morning. Even if St. Louis falls in that matchup, they will win the group because they own the head-to-head tiebreaker over the other teams in that pool that have a chance to finish with a 3-1 record: the Utah Black Diamonds and Las Vegas Night Owls. Therefore, the semifinal matchups are set: Dallas versus New Jersey and St. Louis versus Brooklyn.
- In the Challenger bracket, both the Junior All-Star team and College All-Star will be back in action Sunday after playing their opening matches on Saturday. The Junior All-Star team (Elsie Hendershot, Ella Yeh, Tama Shimabukuro, and Camden Chaffin) fell to the Bay Area Breakers in a thrilling DreamBreaker, while the College All-Stars from Utah Tech University (Ella Boydston, Mary Monson, Liam Duffin, Clayton Boydston) lost to the Florida Smash in regulation. Both teams will look to bounce back on Sunday as they attempt to advance to the semifinals.
Action from Brookhaven starts at 9am CT, with Championship Court coverage beginning at 10am CT On Pickleballtv.
