Anna Bright and Dylan Frazier: Is romance in the air?
Twenty-five-year-old Anna Bright is quite the eligible pickleball bachelorette.
Along with being ranked third in mixed and women’s doubles, she’s loved by fans, feared by opponents, and has outstanding taste in court fashion.
She also has one of the funniest Instagram profiles in the picklesphere, sharing her candid thoughts and humorous fails.
It's no surprise that Bright has lots of friends on the pro tour, but her relationship with one of them, in particular, has fans speculating they could actually be something more.
Enter Dylan Frazier.
When the pair won gold together at the Veolia Milwaukee Open, that sparked conversation that the mixed doubles tandem has good chemistry on and off the court.
During the post-match interview, Frazier was very complimentary of Bright.
“It seems like Anna Bright has brought the best out of you and a whole lot more, doesn’t it?” asked the sideline reporter.
“I love competing with her. She’s such a great competitor and she really does bring out the best in me and makes me want to fight for every point and every single game. She’s such a great competitor and such a great friend,” replied Frazier.
The comment section was full of people wondering if romance was in the cards.
There was obvious excitement about a potential connection.
“Did you notice how Dylan would touch Anna on her shoulder or back with his paddle and hand? It was so sweet. He seems like such a gentleman,” commented Nancy Ryan.
“Dylan and Anna are the cutest!” wrote Kim Rumsey.
“Anna Frazier has a nice ring to it,” added another commenter.
And all of these statements were liked by Frazier.
It wasn’t the first time the pair joined forces on the 20x44.
Bright actually shared some old highlight reels of the duo in action.
While the post is full of Bright’s usual satire, this video also reveals a long-standing friendship.
If their friendship is purely platonic, that’s okay. But Frazier and Bright could be a good match. They both reside in South Florida, they’re both top pickleball pros who take their respective games very seriously, and they both love to laugh. It could make for an ideal partnership on and off the court.
No couple, however, is perfectly in step and in sync. And these two have their differences. But I think they could be the kind of differences that work in their favor.
Frazier has a more laid back and calm personality. He’s not overly emotive or dramatic, and he always appears at ease. Bright, meanwhile, brings a bit more energy. She hypes herself up and proudly and vocally celebrates a good point. Sometimes, she's a little bit of a klutz, but she smiles and laughs it off.
Take a look at their bungee jumping adventure together – just the two of them – in December 2024.
Frazier is grounded and peaceful. Bright is energetic and expressive. Opposites attract. Frazier could be the grounding force for Bright, and Bright could bring Frazier out of his shell.
At MLP Las Vegas, Bright even wore a bright red T-shirt that said, “Dylan, have my babies!”
“Brilliant. Dylan Frazier is coming to steal yo girl,” commented Tyson McGuffin.
Does McGuffin know something we don’t?
I can’t help but think that if Bright and Frazier got together, got married, and were expecting their first Junior PPA superstar, they wouldn’t love to break that shirt back out. It seems like something they would do.
So are they leaning into the public speculation of romance and just having fun? Or is there actually a budding pro relationship? I think I can say on behalf of a lot of pro pickleball fans, I ship it.
