Pro pickleball players never cease to entertain me on their social media platforms.

While most pro athletes take their social media presence seriously with paparazzi photos, walk-up outfits in designer clothes, or sweet family pictures, pickleball athletes have a lot more fun online. 

Camila Zilveti, who turned pro in 2022, recently shared an unconventional theme party she threw for her and her friends. 

“My 2025 New Year’s resolution was to have more theme parties,” Zilveti began on her Instagram reel. “My first theme party is going to be a blood type reveal party. So think – gender reveal but make it blood type reveal.”

And I think we all collectively cackled. 

I’m immediately thinking those confetti cannons that gender reveal parties have, but instead they’re bright red powder.  

Wearing a nurse hat with her fridge covered in red bloody hand prints, Zilveti explains the party plan. 

“Since none of my friends are pregnant and none of them have kids, I got a bunch of at-home testing kits. And all my friends who don’t know their blood type are going to test them,” Zilveti says with incredible enthusiasm. “It’s gonna be funny, it’s gonna be a bunch of people guessing what each other’s blood type is and then we’ll all get it tested.”

In addition to the bloody decorations that are a little reminiscent of a murder mystery party, Zilveti also planned on handing out blood pouches that will carry red wine for all her guests. 

“It’s also crazy to me that I had so many friends that didn’t know their blood type,” she said. 

So, not only is this party an incredibly fun and unique idea – it’s also quite useful. I hate to admit it, but I too don’t know my blood type. Perhaps I should throw a blood type party around it too. 

The comments on her theme party idea are great. People applaud Zilveti for her creativity, her “incredible use of free will,” or as friend and fellow pro pickleball player Ava Ignatowich asked, “I just want to know how you came up with this.” 

Because in a world full of never ending content and ideas that always feel a little repetitive, Zilveti’s idea is completely original and hilarious.  

She also shared that she is taking suggestions for the next theme party, and I can't wait to see what kind of off-the-wall idea she comes up with next. I never thought I’d say this, but I want to go to a pro pickleball blood type reveal party!
