PPA Tour stars explore Asia off the court
PPA Tour Asia's inaugural campaign included stops in Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, and China, so lots of pros traveled overseas and indulged in the various sights, cuisines, and cultures that these destinations had to offer.
Fortunately, they shared all their adventures on social media - which left me with a little bit of wanderlust.
Hannah Blatt and Grayson Goldin had lots of fun visiting new cities, going shopping, hitting the pool, and, of course, playing a lot of pickleball.
“The last two weeks I was in Malaysia and then Vietnam, and it's been an amazing experience. The staff has been incredible and they make you feel very welcome and safe, and everyone's so supportive over here,” said Blatt. “But my favorite part was being in Vietnam, trying all the foods, and going to Hoi An. I’m just so grateful, and I can't wait to compete more in Asia and internationally.”
Blatt was one of many pros who expressed genuine excitement to see the remarkable growth of pickleball in Asia, and a strong desire to return for more tournaments in 2026.
Franklin Pickleball athletes Parris Todd and Hayden Patriquin headed to teach clinics, participate in a podcast, and visit the Batu Caves.

Todd also shared a day in her life in Malaysia where she unboxed a Coke-themed Labubu given to her by a fan. She also revealed that she actually has over 30 Labubus and brought one back for her friend and fellow pro Rachel Rohrabacher.
In classic Anna Bright fashion, she posted more humorous content from her time in Asia, including feeding monkeys, trying durian, and “not catching any rabies.”
Leave it to Bright to add humor to her travel recap.
Ever since Ben Johns revealed his boba tea addiction, I knew it was only a matter of time before he’d be making his own while abroad.
Luckily, he finally had that opportunity before PPA Malaysia began.
Tyson McGuffin spent quite a while in Asia exploring and teaching camps.
While he’s been to Vietnam before, this time around he visited the beach town of Da Nang with Ben Johns and Zoey Wang.
McGuffin also rocked a rice hat after winning gold alongside Eric Oncins.
Zane Navratil also shared some of his highlights abroad and said: “Vietnam was great on the pickleball court, but even better off the court.”
Joined by his wife, Jennifer, Navratil visited the Golden Hands Bridge, Marble Mountains, and took a ride in a coconut boat that may have been more thrilling than anticipated.
It was certainly a trip to remember.
Originally from Taiwan, Zoey Wang was excited to return home to compete.
Wang not only won back-to-back women’s doubles gold alongside Kaitlyn Christian, but at PPA Malaysia, her family and friends cheered her on courtside.
The pros certainly enjoyed their time on the other side of the globe.
