Waters: The stats tell the story
CARY, NC – Anna Leigh Waters is just three gold medals shy of reaching the century mark entering this week's action at the North Carolina Cup.
You'll recall that Waters turned pro at age 12 with the help of her mom and coach, Leigh. Ever since then, she has been absolutely unstoppable on the court.
Now 17, the sky really is the limit for this pickleball rockstar.
Here are some of Waters' achievements to date on the PPA Tour:
- 35 singles titles
- 30 women’s doubles titles
- 32 mixed doubles titles
That's a remarkable 97 titles on her resume as her quest to make history continues in the Tar Heel State.
Waters also boasts 23 Triple Crowns, which is when a player wins gold in all three disciplines - singles, doubles, and mixed doubles - at a single event.
That's the highest number ever for a male or female, so she's clearly the best of the best.
With another Triple Crown come Championship Sunday at Cary Tennis Park, a new milestone is officially hers!
The future is exceptionally bright for Waters, and plenty more accolades are ahead.
