Anderson Scarpa, a native of Charleston, South Carolina, is a graduate of Mercer University, where he excelled in Division 1 college tennis. Following his education, he ventured into the family business, specializing in resurfacing tennis courts. It was through this work that he found his passion for pickleball, particularly after his involvement in painting pickleball courts.
Since delving into the sport in 2020 and actively competing in tournaments in 2021, Anderson has amassed an impressive record, securing 6 medals on the APP tour in mixed and men’s doubles. Career best finishes on the PPA tour include a 5th place finish in singles at the 2023 Desert Ridge Championship, 5th place finish in men’s doubles at 2022 PPA North Carolina, and a quarterfinal appearance at the 2024 PPA Bristol Cup. He has several wins over top ranked players including Pablo Tellez, Tyson Mcguffin, Collin Johns, Jaume Martinez Vich, among others.
Anderson has also made his mark in Major League Pickleball, suiting up for 7 different teams (including two premiere level teams), and most recently has played for the Nashville Chefs.
Beyond his achievements on court, Anderson is happily married to his wife Alana, and the couple has a two-year-old daughter Alivia and will soon be welcoming a boy into the family.
